We underwrite a worldwide direct property portfolio. We write business from our Lloyd's platform in London and through our operations in the US and via our Netherlands team. We provide insurance across a broad geographical base, with a bias towards US clients. The account comprises large account open market commercial property insurance. It is focused towards real estate, retail and manufacturing sectors, excluding petrochemical, mining and power.

We have a well established portfolio of business written via our Lloyd's platform in London. We have long-standing relationships with our client base and our underwriters travel extensively to maintain their knowledge of their markets, clients and products. We seek to provide an excellent service to our brokers and clients, producing enduring and valued relationships with our customers.

Our operation in New York is led by Bradley Winfield who has over 15 years' experience in the North American property market with Lexington (London and New York) and Ironshore in New York. This is new capacity that can be written in addition to the London capacity and can also complement excess property business written by Sompo Canopius's sister company, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa of America in Charlotte, NC.

Our property portfolio in the Netherlands largely comprises domestic small to mid-sized companies with a focus on the public sector. The team are a leading insurer in the Netherlands and have the capacity to write €15 million of property business. They specifically focus on commercial, industrial, municipalities, dwelling corporations and homeowners and are willing to take all business into consideration.

We have the ability to offer our brokers and clients a technical approach to pricing and breadth of knowledge from specialist underwriters. Through the application of our underwriting expertise and technical, proactive approach, we have the capability and flexibility to respond swiftly to market developments and structure bespoke products to match our clients' needs.
